WORKING WITH BLAIR GRATTON ARCHITECTS LIMITED

We are an RIBA Chartered Architects Practice with offices in Derby.

Simon Gratton qualified as an Architect in 1998 from the University of North London.

Simon is RIBA Chartered, listed at the ARB – Architects Registration Board, a Conservation Architect and the Director of Blair Gratton Architects Limited.

John Gratton

John Gratton, now retired, qualified as an Architect in 1973 and practiced until late 2025.

His breadth of experience is invaluable.

John assists Simon and Ray in the office, and his broad experience helps the team.

In December 2023, John had been a member of the Royal Institute for 50 years.

This milestone is a rare achievement and reflects his extensive experience in the Profession.

Ray Harlow is a time served Senior Technician. Ray joined William Blair & Partners in 1970 and has worked with the practice all his life. As our longest-running member of the team, Ray has a wealth of experience in all sectors of technical design specification.

Architects abide by the Codes of Professional Conduct set by both the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

We have established relationships with other agencies, professionals and consultants. We are well known to local Diocese, conservation and planning authorities. Our network supports coordinated information exchange and timely communication across projects, enabling smoother collaboration and clearer guidance as work progresses.

We can draw upon this knowledge to help assist in the realisation of your project. This experience helps us anticipate needs, navigate processes and support decision-making for successful outcomes. Together, we aim to realise your vision efficiently and with minimal disruption.
